Du'Anyam: It takes a Village - NOW! Jakarta

Du’Anyam Winning the world with weaving women - Sat, April 21, 2018 - The Jakarta Post

Du'Anyam is a social enterprise that works closely with talented women from Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, to create authentic wicker products through traditional craftsmanship.

The organization aims to economically empower and improve the health of women in rural Indonesia through three core pillars: Empower Women, Promote Culture, and Improve Livelihood.

Below are showcases of my work as a product & graphic design intern at Du'Anyam.

Glimpse of the Design Process

A product designer should understand the end-to-end process of how products are made. I visited Du'Anyam's in-house tailors, communicated with them, and bridged our expectations on how the designed products would come to life.

Material Study

During my design brainstorming process, I sketch to visualize how the designs will appear, both through physical prototypes and digital renderings.
